Welcome to Dr. Wolf's Chemistry Website
This site is intended for use in high school chemistry NY Regents classes. The links on the left are in the approximate order
of how we will reach topics throughout the year. There may be some exceptions, of course.
Each link in the navigator leads you to the notes for that topic. Some also have practice problems to work through.
For this class, you do need some basic math skills, including setting up and solving proportions and working with integers.
Some of the work we do will also involve scientific notation, so familiarity with that is important.
We will also make use of significant figures. We will cover the basics.
An important aspect of this class is the ability to use the Chemistry Reference Tables. You'll find a ton of great information on it,
and sometimes you can't answer questions without it. You should always have a copy with you in case you need it. We will be referring to it
throughout the year in just about every topic we cover. If you need to refer to a copy,
you can find it here.
Labs are an absolute requirement of the course. Without enough lab time, you are not allowed to take the Regents exam in June. You must be sure to complete and hand in all labs in a timely manner.
Grades will be determined as follows:
- 60% Tests
- 20% Quizzes
- 10% Labs
- 10% Homework
Keep studying!
